Carving a Dream was originally written and published in 1992 by Robb DeWall. Robb was a historian and chief storyteller of Crazy Horse Memorial® for nearly three decades. He began gathering history and telling the story of Sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski in 1973. Robb worked occasionally for Korczak before officially joing Crazy Horse Memorial staff in 1978. Robb passed away Jan. 29, 2006. He was a wonderful friend and tremendous asset to Crazy Horse. During his lifetime, Robb DeWall updated the Carving a Dream book several times as was necessary with this ever-changing project. The Carving a Dream story continues to be updated by Memorial staff since Robb DeWall's passing. We hope you enjoy!
